I cant seem to run some blits apps on my laptop, I have tried to run Decorator but it moves down to my task bar and I have to end task to get it off. I am using a Toshiba Satelite S205 With a gForce 4 and Windows XP. Aone Proud to be a BLITZER |

Looks like the detonator driver problem rears its ugly head once more. Try going back to an older driver version - 30.x or something. The latest ones don't like Blitz apps. |

The latest driver runs 3D at a good speed... but 2D has slowed down considerably. I use Windows 2000. |

Backdated driver to 30.82 and still cant open blitz apps or games. I downloaded a game that has been compiled and it will not run. Aone |

What you described in your first post has absolutely nothing to do with the text problems with the Nvidia drivers. Just for the hell of it try reinstalling DirectX. Personally I hate the video chips they are throwing in the notebooks and desktops. Contrary to the claims of the manufacturers they just do not have the same compatibility and performance as the card counterparts. I would visit the Toshiba site and download the latest video drivers they have there on their site for your model notebook. |

Thanks Brice, tried dx9 and drivers at Toshiba but no luck. Aone |

It would seem that any program written in blitz will load as long as it is windowed, quill demo and XLNT-GUI will also run. Any ideas Aone |

Worked it out,I did not remove the newer drivers first, now all works with older drivers. I hope mvidia will sort this problem out, I would hate to have tell someone to load old drivers to use my stuff. Aone |
