Why are my b3d models made in Milkshape apear inside-out. Not the whole thing but the each individual primitives used. So no, FlipMesh will not correct it. Any ideas on this??? |
| ||
I have a lot of models made in Milkshape, exported as B3D - they don't appear inside out. Can you be more specific? Are you then texturing them elsewhere? |
| ||
Well I just finished a nice model of a M-16 rifle. And I used different primitives for each part (ie. Barel, Clip, Body, Handle, Stock) and all those shaped primitives apear inside out them selfs, its very bassakwards. I'll upload a screenie in a few minuets. |

Er... I can hardly see anything in your pic. Do you want to post the modal and I'll take a look at it. |
| ||
Have you tried UpdateNormals on the model? It looks like the normals are screwed. |
| ||
I shall try that and If it doesn't work I'll try a better sceenie. :) |
| ||
okay, that didn't work either, and my host won't upload ms3d files. So if you think you need it to help, email me at jackrackam@...![]() http://www.geocities.com/amgroben/screen261.bmp |

Can't you just use the 'Face to Front' menu item (having highlighted everything first)? |
| ||
You really shouldn't post .bmp's. Change that image into a .jpg and it will load an awful lot quickier, and save bandwidth. |

We really need both the model and the code you are using to view the model. If geocities won't let you post a zip file, try some other file hosting place, like yousendit (send it to yourself, and then post the download link.) |
