Hi!

I was wondering how to make bmx play mp3 files.

NOT for commercial stuff!
ONLY for a private project!

So I don't want to spend money if possible.

mp3 is a commercial format. you have to pay in any case when the app is downloaded more than 5000 times.
you better focus on ogg

You can use bass.dll or fmod.dll. I've seen mods floating around here somewhere for these libs.

go to www.vorbis.org and find a convertor you like. there are several.
