This may sound noobish, it's supposed to be, but I havn't got a clue on how to start with hooks.

WOuld I be correct in saying that hook based application development is better than the standard loop with Waitevent() style coding?

I would appreciate it if somebody could post some very basic code which shows how to use hooks in coding. I'm sure others would appreciate it also.

I have checked out the code in the docs but don't get what it's doing or what everything means. I have a general idea, I think, but nothing solid enough to begin application development.

agree, but I don't complain, mark was in a rush to give us the next release and I'm sure that some other user will give us more appropriate doc soon.
