wxMAX openfile.bmx not working

I am going through the tutorials with wxMAX. The program, openfile.bmx is suppose to open a file requester when I click FILE/OPEN in the menu. It doesn't seem to work Using Windows XP sp3

Works fine here, there was a large delay before the window opened but that is more than likely to be my PC! Do you have any more info?

BlitzMAX 1.41 Acer AspireOne netbook Intel Atom N720 1.6ghz 1 gig memory Windows XP home sp3 How long did you wait? I waited for about a minute before giving up on it.

I used to have this problem but if I recall it was addressed with one of the later SVN updates. I'm not sure the download version is as up to date if you're using that?
