...maybe... Patreon seems kind of below what I would expect for a professional programming language. Maybe I don't understand it. I would rather have some kind of subscription service. I've made several posts on this subject already- as a developer who has made a lot of money from BlitzMax, I would have gladly paid a couple hundred dollars per year for a subscription to ongoing support and development. I think "BlitzMax Next Gen 1.0" should be free to everyone, but then there should be a subscription for product updates above the 1.0 release, premium community access, premium tech support, and access to an asset store.

That's unfortunate. I'm not sure how (if) that compromises their activities, but a lot of talented artists work with Patreon.
