Hi Guys

Ive put a simple BMX Software Protector test together for you to test that enables a user to test your program for a limited time in minutes, this test is set as 5 mins then informs you of its end.

download
http://www.whitegatesoftware.com/5min_quickplay.zip

you feedback would help if you can run this and report its correct

*NOTE This test gives installed time, not game play time. Re-run .exe to see the time countdown, this realy is a test of the timing system i will use to add realtime limited play time.

thanks

Worked here. Installed time is very good as well. Interesting! I'm looking forward to the game play time limiting. :)

note: Worked from inside a zip file too. :)

Cmon peeps... Kev needs more testers. Download the file at the top of the post and reply. :)

Kev(Posted 2008) [#11]
No one else tested this?

jsp(Posted 2008) [#12]
I tested on another XP Home with the same '0 Minutes' right after start.
Then I also tested on a Vista machine and it says '5 Minutes' but never counts down...
When I started the program again with administrator rights, it counted down as expected.
Hope that helps

"When I started the program again with administrator rights, it counted down as expected."

yipes...

What's the status? And what's the odds of this being ready to go within the next 2 weeks? (fingers crossed)

JoJo(Posted 2008) [#15]
I have vista home premiun and it never counts down.

Kev(Posted 2008) [#16]
other .php work as taken me away from this right now, Im hopfull i can get back to this within the next couple of day, I have added support for this to function with administrator off, using GA code i helped with sometime back. lets say it was an oversight and now functions. still problems with the count down when not using administrator.

I will keep you guys updated on my progress, sorry i cant say 2 weeks MGE it seems everytime i think i have free time i dont :)

Thanks for the update Kev. Sounds like you're going to need a robust period for testing. I do hope to use this in the future.
