Chris Camacho made an mpeg player for BlitzMax, but it didn't do sound and I don't believe he still has it online. There is an .avi player around as well, bundled with the now-discontinued commercial 'aurora' 3D engine for BlitzMax. So... One exists, but I couldn't tell you if it's still available.

i was thinking about trying to use libmpeg2 with bmax, but cant see how to link a mingw compiled lib(.a) with bmax
