Blitz2D/BlitzPlus Speed?

I have the old Blitz2D (updated) and am wondering which is faster, that or the new Plus?

B2D is like a Ferrari, B+ is like a Ferrari with 1 or 2 more added gears.

Especially the writepixelfast is better. And you got added GUI build in.

Too bad B+ forces the file extension. In B2D you could use for example .gfx for graphics instead of .png or .bmp etc.
