Doom also runs on several makes and models of old digital cameras: printers: Apple iPod Classic: Microsoft Zune: Oscilloscope: Smart watch (sort of) pianos: Realistically, it's all possible since so many embedded devices are basically just Linux computers these days -- it's "just" another app, if they manages to sideload it onto the device. (Heck, your mobile phone is a generic miniature tablet that just happens to come with an app that can make phone calls)

Amazing to think that these are "minimum" circuits.

Just goes to show the efficiency of Doom code :) Nice.

Just goes to show the efficiency of Doom code :) Nice. It also shows how much faster computers have become in the past 25 years, in that these minimal devices come with enough memory, storage and horsepower something that used to take a relatively fast PC to run smoothly.

The Oscilloscope one made me chuckle. I'd love to see someone get Doom running on a Tom Tom go. Yeah I know the hardware on that (as far as I know) is pretty decent. Just think it would be funny.
