You know, characters that have moving arms and legs. Any such program exists? |

http://brashmonkey.com/spriter.htm You can try this but I've only downloaded the free version and haven't attempted to use it so I have no idea how good it is or isn't. |

It didn't run. It wanted VCOMP100.DLL. |
| ||
google it by typing VCOMP100.DLL then download it and then put in folder where should be then it should work. |

google it by typing VCOMP100.DLL then download it and then put in folder where should be then it should work. I advise against this - you don't want to be downloading random DLLs and trusting them on your PC.Spriter requires the Visual C++ 2010 Redistribution Package (which includes VCOMP100.dll). So download and install that from the Microsoft site - nowhere else. [edit] http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/download/details.aspx?id=5555 |

Good one GFK :) |

you don't want to be downloading random DLLs and trusting them on your PC. Oh yes, so better just trust the random exe you downloaded before (the one blaming it misses a dll it out of curiosity did not supply on its own) :D. I think if you download the DLL from bigger and wellknown websites, you should be avoiding as much risk as possible without skipping the app at all. bye Ron |

@GfK Thanks! Other sprite drawing alternatives? |

http://spritetools.com/index.php/software Here's another one(googled sprite vector animator) Again, I have not used this so I'm not recommending it just answering your question. I'm certain there are others and you can download Sprite Simple from my sig but it is not vector just bitmap though it is easy to load in individual frames that have been resized to 240x240 from an avi and create sprite strips. All I got...Doggie out... |

Last time I created sprites I used a simple paint program http://www.ultimatepaint.com/ ,but admitedly it was a long time ago. -Henri |

I've used both GraphicsGale and Aseprite for pixel art: http://www.humanbalance.net/gale/us/ http://www.aseprite.org/ |

http://www.piskelapp.com Free, on & off line versions, onion skinning, layers and much more. I've never done pixel art animation before before, but this is fast & fun to use. |

The subject has evolved into pixel art, though what I ask for is drawing characters with moving legs & arms. Let's cast it to examples. Walking: ![]() Swimming: ![]() Jumping: ![]() Crawling: ![]() And climbing: ![]() |
