3d aint supposed to be that easy :D they must use magic :) |

Looks really nice! You should take a look at Teddy as well, plus all the other stuff this amazing guy has done: Takeo Igarashi |

That anim looked very magical to me. I can't see how they added the details that appear in the AVI by just drawing wavey lines! 8D |

Looks damn nice. The price tag is looking a little intimidating though. |

It's just lofted splines - really is that simple Each angle, a new loft is created. This technique is very common in packages such as lightwave and max. The only difference here is that the software automatically replaces old splines with sketched new splines and has some very cool lofting. |

lol. Nope its not. he he.. Just wait till you use. it. Nothing like Max or anything else (Read the forums and see what other MAX users say about it) CHeers Mike R (Curvy beta tester.) |

Woo Hoo! It's $84.95 US. And you can get it NOW. I just did and am sitting here waiting on the e-mail. I hope someone's working late... |

It looks really good but I wonder if it produce low polygon models suitable for games. Most of the models seem quite high-poly. |
| ||
If it works how I think it works - you start off with basic shapes and apply displacement maps to achieve the detailing. Then for low polygon modelling you should be able to start off with low poly base shapes and apply the displacement maps as bumpmap over the top, instead of apply it to the mesh directly. Now if it did that - I'd buy it! |
| ||
You'll just have to go to their forums and read up. Low poly,animation etc will be in the Pro version and if you buy the base version the full price will be deducted if you upgrade. I like it so far, but have only had about 30 minutes to fart around with it. |

Great tool, i'll stay the pro version for see if we can using our models created with Curvy for a game.(low poly) Because $84.95 for the version 1.0 and the author says : "The normal version is great for making models and scenes for fun." The fun it's very expansive. :-) Regards, Bruce-lee |
