2d particle generator needed

I'm looking for a program that can help me design particle effects and export them as a series of alpha'd pngs. Does anyone know of a program that could do this? Thanks!

exgen doesn't export to png's with alpha... does particle mania?

It exports to a PNG, that's all I know.
