Hi all,

If I create a model without animation (New Model) and has the same skeleton as another existing model (Old Model),
is there any way to extract the animation seq from old model and apply this seq. to new model? How?

(file format: .b3d/.ms3d/.3ds)

Thanks in advance.

.3ds - Not possible. Does not support a skeleton.

.ms3d - Not possible. Blitz doesn't load them.

.b3d - Use LoadAnimSeq. ( It's in the manual/help reference. )

Consider the .bvh file format. Some programs support import of this file type but I don't remember which of them support the export function (if any...)

Hi all,

I heard that pacemaker could do this. Is this true?

Ricky Smith(Posted 2006) [#5]
Yes PaceMaker can do this - even if the proportions of the skeletons are different - as long as the joints are named the same you can share animation between different models.

Using the Skeleton and Sequence Import/Export feature in PaceMaker 1.34( wmv 20mb)

Ricky, can pacemaker import BVH files?

Ricky Smith(Posted 2006) [#7]
Not yet - I am hoping to add .bvh import/export soon.
