Just checking this proggy out.

Notice that although it's a trial version, you can still export trees from the in-programme tree editor.

There seems to be some issues with UV mapping on trunks, but Unwrap3d/Giles imports the output quite nicely (you may need to reapply the mask bitmap in Giles)
