look very good. There is FREEWORLD 3D that allow you make road :)

You could try my ted program, its got a tool called "smooth" which is quite good at making roads & paths. It works by flattening the area using a series of averages so the effected area becomes a flattened version of the surrounding terrain. (see sig)
