The developer of B3D Pipeline is unreachable. I've tried phone and email. B3D Pipeline needs to be updated and the source is unavailable. Does anyone know the developer? Does anyone have an alternative solution?

Yeah, sell your Max...

Before B3D Pipeline, the established method of getting from 3dsMax to Blitz3D, was to export to Ultimate Unwrap using the 3dsMax plugins available from the UU site, then convert from U3D to B3D in UU. It won't have support for the extension stuff that Pipeline had, but it did support skeletal animation, vertex normals, both UV channels and I think you could set up brush properties and texture layers in UU.

The extensions were the thing that made blitz3D great so it's a shame. With the extensions you could remove a large chunk of tedious coding, and produce some pretty neat local animation effects, WYSIWYG animated flash like UI's and stuff.

I'm not sure I would have stuck with B3D the first couple of years if it wasn't for puddings exporter.

Blender has a flawless B3D exporter too.
