All my Max work stemmed from wanting to make a Zarch copy. I was very impressed with Stevie G's Z-Virus, but was thwarted by his own 3d format. So I built my own editor. An no it too can load Z-Virus models. Here is the first tinkering of a tree. First the original: ![]() And now the new version (with minimal time and effort spent): ![]() Still very low poly, but with a single extra cone with alpha discard in operation. This object is then duplicated 3 times (only one version is used), with different position, scaling, rotation. And here is a very simple orb (again with alpha discard), with bump mapping and 2-sided... ![]() Could be used for alien vegetation. I will have to see how it all works in a game setting. |
