| Hey guys, this is completely un blitz related (it's for another project in OGRE), but I thought I'd show it anyway (it's not too late to make any improvements you guys suggest). Made 98% in Zbrush: (this one is a real render, not a zbrush canvas shot, low polygon, texture+normal map) (And here are the crap shots) and a closeup of the head: and a closeup of the mouth: and a shot of the polygon detail (all of which fits nicely into a normal map) Again, it's not too late for improvements, so please post any comments! |

| A nasty looking piece of work! I wouldn't want to be standing under it when it got agro :) I guess you're using normal mapping or some similar technique to show all that detail. |
 | ||
| yeah, I'll be using object space normal maps for the detail, the teeth and extremities are all set up correctly on the low resolution model. |

| Nice one, but a bit stolen from Half Life IMO. |

| yes, people keep saying that...but I had in mind something completely different for the record :D It's actually slightly taller than a human. What creature? Now that I think of it, it looks like a barnacle with legs lol. Fear not, it will animate quite differently. |

| A mix of Barnacle and Stalker in an organic way :) |
 | ||
| stalker?  I was thinking strider... |
 | ||
| oh yes strider :P |
 | ||
| looks good what about some warning stripes like reptiles n such have on the legs or head, may add something to it |

| wait.... you're using zbrush.... and this is for Ogre??? Zbrush can create stuff for Ogre? |
 | ||
| sure, why not? It exports to obj on the low res, and bakes the normal map. |
 | ||
| I never considered it. I like Zbrush! :-) |
 | ||
| I like the slimey effect |

| added a wallpaper shot (much better render) |
