O-Class Submarine in Game![]() |
| ||
I like the second screenshot. Well the water looks a bit low res on the first one, but the submarine itself looks clean and efficient ;-) |
| ||
Looks good. Are you Red October in disguise? |
| ||
No we have a crew on the Tower. They are leaving the tower before diving :-) http://www.blitzforum.de/upload/file.php?id=6784 somewhere in the java sea... |
| ||
I agree, sub looks good but water is awful. |
| ||
Aw drats,... was going to make a Red October post, but Stevie beat me to it. In case you are new, you can do a search for Red October here,... he was making a sub game for an eternity. You might even get some good ideas for the water from reading the old posts. |

To be honest, your sub model looks great, but the texture is rather low-res. Wouldn't look good at close range. Unless I'm mistaken, and that's just Blitz's rock-bottom anisotropic filtering messing things up? The water isn't terrible, but it's not great. However, the underwater effects are very nice indeed. I look forward to seeing more of this! |

Thanks Adam, here are 4 new Screenshoots with more details. I repaint the texture in some details. ![]() The Sub has 850 polys, the crewmen 500 poly each. The clouds is a painted sky texture on a skydome. We have a timer on. Without timer i came on over 500 FPS. The next do are water effects. |

Okay, those extra screens help. Most of your texture does look good. I would say a few spots - specifically the sides of the sub's hull, and the deck surface - could do with being higher-res, but it's not too bad if you don't want to go to the trouble. The model is nice, especially for its comparatively low poly count. We have a timer on. As in, you're using WaitTimer() to control your framerate? You should probably have a look at THIS THREAD... There's some debate on tweening vs. WaitTimer(). |

Thx Adam, here is a short video of the boat that shows it in play. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-b78P-VjLs Greetings Sung |

This looks pretty cool. I like the fake film grain that you added to the intro screens, they look great :) |
| ||
Just a quick question: are you planning on marketing this? |
