Ok here's another try. Whadya think? Critique? Edit: Hmm...just from posting it, it looks a bit washed out.

Needs specular highlights. It doesn't look shiny. Maybe just have a generic 'gems' thread instead of one for every color?
|
| ||
It needs animated sparkles and translucency (alpha :)

Hmm ok...specular's a good idea but it's got the translucency. It could stand to look a bit shinier. Yar, one thread for gems good idea.

Chroma. Check your email (one in your sig), maybe of use - maybe not. Had some gfx left over from a project I was working on.

I made it in Inkscape and yeah it's a vector, so it can be scaled to any size.

well i dont know what functions inkscape has tho i use mainly adobe illustrator do ink scape have inner glow fx

Not natively that I know of. I'll look for something like that. But what I do is make a clone of the over shape, color it white, shrink it some and then heavily blur it and put the transparency at about 50% or so. Works decent I suppose.

Looks nice, very clean. It does look more opaque than translucent. That's because of the middle face. Perhaps making the gradient more contrasting?
