A couple of paintings I made on sunday.

The first two are actually fanart for "Journey".

I'm not a fan of this style, but your use of color on that rock painting is marvelous!

Thanks everyone. :)

Kittomer, these are stunning! I love Journey too, so simple and yet so deep, very emotional all the way through.
Amazing work.

The colours and brushwork are great but the framing of the elements feels a bit off?

Ideally you could crop large sections of the images to better focus attention on your elements.

Also, in the first image, my eye isn't quite sure what to focus on first - the figure, the scarf or the mountain? Typically I look at the mountain peak above the dip in the scarf, but then the scarf leads my eye off to the right into nothingness.

Well, composition is currently my weakest point, and thus I try to improve on that.

I figured putting the figure on top of that hill/mountain would help drawing the eye to it, and since most people should enter the image at the top left corner, being led into nothingness by the scarf is probably not so bad, since getting lost (or rather, trying NOT to get lost) is sort of an overarching theme in the game.

Awesome

The first image is particularly good - I like the contrast between the dazzling white background and the striking red clothing, and the way that the scarf leads one's eye along a natural path from the figure atop the hill to the beam of light in the distance.

Nice work.

way that the scarf leads one's eye along a natural path from the figure atop the hill to the beam of light in the distance.

Except it doesn't. The tension is that it may lead the eye to the mountain but then it also leads the eye into a void on the right. Basically there's not enough delineation between background and foreground elements.
