Here is the latest image from the 3d game thing i'm working on: I've also posted a download: http://visualjockey.com/games/bmx-test.app.zip it's been tested on Mountain lion and mavericks, let me know any issues there. Still really just an in dev demo with little checking, just a showcase, but be great to get some comments on where to go with it, what to do, etc I've got some ideas, but I'm keen to hear yours :)

I love the screenshot. I do not have a Mac so can't test it, but love the look.

MM, Looks like some sort of HUD has appeared. And some bright shiny things too - I wonder what they could be? I wonder what they might do? It's such a nice sky too, how high till I see the stars...

I like the fact that there's a strong sense of depth in these images. The scene looks like you have landed on an alien planet and are exploring it. I would spend some time trying to fix the shadow acne; It's very noticeable. You can see it in both pictures you posted. • http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/ee416324(v=vs.85).aspx • http://www.opengl-tutorial.org/intermediate-tutorials/tutorial-16-shadow-mapping/ From what I understand of the issue, you can mitigate it with either of these: • Since you have no thin geometry, you can render the back faces into the shadow depth-map instead of the front faces. • Do calculations in the pixel shader: http://beyond3d.com/showpost.php?p=1565915&postcount=4

Looks good and love the sky. I'm not a big fan of the shader effect though - if I saw this on my monitor I'd think the graphics were glitchy. Maybe when we see it moving it'll be ok. Always meant to revisit Z-Virus and incorporate and entirely spherical landscape with more detail etc... Is that what you have here?

ok, I'll get back into the shaders and see if I can improve things on the shadow front. Stevie: it's concept is definitely based from Zarch/Z-Virus. Where abouts in Scotland are you?

Glasgow West End - you in Scotland?

Kryzon Thanks for the links, here is the new result for the shadows. no more moire effect :) What needed to be done was to modulate the bias according to the normal
