Hi, Here is my latest model.

GfK(Posted 2004) [#2]
Bit dark...

Genexi2(Posted 2004) [#3]
Yeah....a brighter colored background would help...maybe with come close-ups....if ya do those, maybe I can critique a little if you wouldnt mind. :)

THe model itself as far as I can see looks a little unproportionally accurate (or is it proportionally inaccurate?) due to the head size, shrinkin it a little should help that...

gellyware(Posted 2004) [#4]
Updated, scaled the head a bit (thx genexi2).

Also, I am considering opening up a site selling low polygon models, any thoughts?

Looks quite good.

Somebody around here (I forget who) was selling packs of animated models - you should dig 'em up to see what you're up against. They were pretty good - not that yours isn't, but there *is* competition. :)

It's a reasonable model, but I'm no expert. I think the feet/shoes need some attention. I like the big coller, that's cool.

As GFK said you need to see what you're up against if you want to sell them.

Also I would suggest that if they aren't animated you're not going to sell too many. It's pretty straight forward create a model that looks reasonable and skin it, but it's the rigging and animation that's the pain. I've seen models that look good as a static figure, but when you go to animate it the verts are all in the wrong place and are basically un-usable as game models.

Also you'd want to create themed sets, this way you'll sell a bunch at a time, otherwise the buyer will have to find other models that fit in with that one.

Just thoughts.

The legs need a lot of work. the knees seem way too high
and the legs overall look wrong.Simply a question fo finding good reference to put 'em right

I like the character, its has a certain feel to it.The head has a nice stylised look to it also.

Hands are a little flat/thin

some wireframe views would be nice

Important thing to consider is the polygon distribution
ie only placing polys where they are needed.

Check out polycount forums if you want to see professional quality work. Lots of good examples there.

Man!! she is stacked! silicon or real? :)>

gellyware(Posted 2004) [#9]
@everyone, thanks for comments , criticism always helps one improve

@ ruz, I have never seen that polycount site. Very nice site indeed. Thanks for teaching it to me.

@sabata, I used the silicon tool to make the breasts. I had to cover up the scars with her robe. ;)

Kuron(Posted 2004) [#11]
I am not going to name any names, but there are a couple of people here who need to turn in their man cards. When she looks like that what are you doing looking at her feet? :cD

Ricky Smith(Posted 2004) [#12]
Feet ? What feet ?

Mustang(Posted 2004) [#13]
Ahem... "lady" might be bit streching it when she's dressed and "equipped" like that :)
