Just thought I would finally post a litle progress on my little demo. Nothing much to report , just added a few new textures. Shame I can't get the framerate any higher then 38fps though. Got the player shadow in too,thanks to robs flex code and the big lightmap was done in max using luminaire plugin ![]() ![]() ![]() Some of the lighmaps/textures are missing in these shots, after my hard drive crash last year I haven't had chance to update |

Thanks .Did that model for my interview at blitz games. shame I can't use it really. The main character, 'Pearman' is in serious need of a redesign |

Cheers Ross If I get some spare time this week i will try get the dl sorted out. You can collect diamonds right now but not much else apart from wander around.You can bounce on balls to do a jump, but I have only one ball in the map right now. I have to sort out that fps limiting code too. |

Tiler , you could go treemagic route ir make your own. Basically you just have to make a low poly trunk, then flat planes alpha mapped or masked for the leaves. Keep adjusting the number of planes unntil your fps is acceptable |

Cheers Caff The more I think about it the more I think i will extract the buildings and make a terrain based village instead. This is just too 'blocky ' Looks a tad boring too |
