Bombers, (directed in by fast moving, ground based spotters, which can be destroyed) Bombers drop bouncing bombs which may explode on the second, third or fourth bounce. The bombs are deadly to the player and so it'll be a bit of a questionmark as to whether the player'll have enough time to get away or not (if a bomb drops close by). |

Look like pretty sad explosions. Explosions also fly outward, not just up. |

What if you'd replace those "gasoline explosions" with spark strom like fx, either welding (orange) or electric (blue) kind of... it would make more sense because you're inside elctronic world anyway. Real world stuff seem bit out of place here? But otherwise what Rob said! :) |

WolRon There is a 'shockwave' fx associated with them, but since your post, I've added an expanding ring of particles at the top of the smoke column to give the appearance of nuclear mushroom clouds, which looks quite good ;-) Rob Watch out or I'll release a demo. In fact I do need to do that to start getting player feedback, but it's just taking the time to bundle everything up that's making me hold back (+ a few bugs) Mustang A valid point - still the graphics are always open to change before release. big10p It's not quite 'sudden death' - the player can spot aircraft coming in on the radar (they're not jetfighter kind of quick), see the bomb on the radar and the bomb falls in a fairly leisurely way and usually bounces at least a couple of times. So if they player's still too close by time of detonation, it's really the player's fault;-) |
