This is the test of the game I am currently working on, 360 Space Mayhem. The point of the game is to destroy all enemys, and enemy forts. In order to destroy all the enemy forts, you must first track down the forts using their bullets. Enemy forts spawn enemys and just sit and spin, shooting out random bullets. The enemys are programed to lock on to you and chase you intill they are a set distance from you, then sit and shoot. Once you kill a certain number of enemys and get $300 in money, you can buy your own forts. Your forts just sit in one place and spin and shoot. Note: Some enemys are programmed to lock onto your forts, not you. The enemy forts look like this: The enemys look like this: You look like this: Your Forts look like this: Controls: left-right arrow keys to turn. forward arrow key to move forward at the current angle. "z" to shoot "a" to lay a fort (After you have $300) Download Here |

The controls are too sensitive, how about some momentum, kinda like the original asteroids. The stars don't look good when you are stationary, would be better if they driftered regardless. Perhaps the sprites coul be better. Nice one keep up the good work! |

Thanks for the feedback, I'm working on the stars and momentum. But the controls are sensitive because I wanted to make this a hard game, and this makes it a little bit more challenging to steer. |

it's really hard to aim! How about aiming with the mouse? If you need help with the trigonometry I can explain it to you; it doesn't take too long. |
| ||
yeah really hard to aim, but i like simple concept. Reminds of the good ole days of the 2600....... |

Thanks guys I'm starting to work on the aiming problem. Sorry warpy, I HATE games where you aim with the mouse. |

Ok everyone, I made it so there are 2 difficulty levels. easy and hard. Hard is harder to control and the enemys spawn faster, and easy is a little easier to control and the enemys spawn a little less fast. Try out the new controls on easy, feedback is welcomed. The link has been updated. |

A bit easier to play, still a little tough though. And I'm not sure if its a good idea to have players actually type out "easy" or "hard" to select a level. I HATE games where you aim with the mouse. The aiming with the mouse on 2D games is actually a more newer concept which came to popularity with the rise of those simple point-n-click indie games that are all over the web now. Not everyone is too use to it yet. However, it actually does simplify controlling and is probably more logical to use for games that require more precision-type aiming like this. But then again, it could added as option for those who prefer that style or the typical arrow keys. Just a suggestion.... |

Yeah i agree on the "easy" "hard" thing i'm working on something more easy on the eyes. I might make it so you can make the controls with the mouse, but I really think that makes it to easy to aim you can just click on something. Thanks for the feedback. |
