@andy_mc The modeler uses 3DS Max to make the models & animations. The terrain is generated in my editor. |

I like what I see except for the "reversed bloomeffect" that appears by the dark objects (soldiers helmet and tank details) whats up with that? is that a animation blur effect or just a bloomeffect gone bad? |

@AJirenius Is a problem with DOF, but in-game don't use this FX, is only for some scenes... anyway i will fix the problem later. |

Ok, here is the new terrain system (without shadowmap at the moment), you can use a unlimited quantity of textures to paint the terrain without performance loss. This scene (Terrain + Glow + Water + Editor) works over 200 FPS in my GF7600GS. Thx a lot for all your commentaries. ![]() |

I think the tree colour is wrong. The leaves shouldn't be a red colour i don't think. Great looking game though! |

Yep, is 100% multiplayer game and you can drive any vehicle in the map ( like Battlefield )... but not FPS. |

And is it using mesh or blitz terrains? Yes, the editor is created by me, and I'm using meshes for the terrains. Do you sell this code? (If yes, how much?) First of all I want to finish the Game with his map editor... Maybe in the future and just maybe, I will make a version of the editor more "Global", something like a World Editor. |

Hi o_o Long time without a update, and some things has been changed in my project, but the basic idea stay alive. The 3D characters has been deleted from the game... why?.... some problems with the animator >_>... but anyway, here a quick video from my test map and one screenshot. I'm very happy right now with my results. The game have all the shadows in realtime and are soft, the physics are almost done... and the Logic/Physic/Visual together have a very nice frame rate. I changed a little the water to make it more "water"... and evade the question "Whats up with the weird fog-ish outline there?"... I'm not sure if is sufficient, but in-game looks very nice. Ok, Next... a playable Demo. For now... Thanks for read my comments. ( Rain+Glow+Water+SoftShadows+Physics = 286FPS :D ) ![]() |

Puki's poor sight ;) brings up a good point: just like many other top-down action games, I think you should roll the camera a little bit toward the horizon, and not have a 90° rotation centered on the main character. An example is better than a thousand words: ![]() Apart from that, I always found your shots very polished. :) |

Yeah with the angle so high the rain will look very odd too, because from that angle all you should see is the splashs on the ground unless its really windy :OP. That said it looks amazing. |

This looks very good! although, are those "lols" really inside the game text? AFAIK, "lol" and other txt-talk terms are used when you need to write something as quickly and smally as possible, so, I don't think it'd be a good practice to have that in general game text (since you don't really need to save space or anything, and you can be quite formal since the players themselves will bring things down through chat etc.). What do others think about this? |
