Hi, please take a look at my first BlitzMAX-project doishi. It is based on Ishido, a tile laying game. You can download the latest version here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/doishi/ It runs under Windows and Linux. I would like to know your opinion. Regards, Christoph ![]() ![]() |

I really liked this game, and I'm not a big fan of tile games. I liked the graphics and sound, very clean and simple but effective. At first, I didn't like how you had to hold down on the How to Play button, but after playing for a bit I realized that I like it that way, as I have to check the instructions a lot and its fast and simple to see them. The one thing I had a problem with is the 'buttons' (Take back, new game, and how to play). I suggest you put rectangles them so they look more like buttons. Also, (a minor thing) maybe reorganizing the buttons would be nice. Putting them in a column to the left and then the score right above the tile would look nice. Just a little suggestion. One last thing, the command prompt window is kind of irritating. I'm not expert or anything, but that's my input. I think its really fun, and I am going to leave now to go play it more :) |

Hello Sauer, Thanks a lot for your positive feedback! Now I'm highly motivated for my next project. In the next release of doishi I will change the buttons as you suggests and I will look for a solution to get rid of the command prompt window. Best regards, Christoph |

I updated the game and fixed the command prompt window. |

Looks much better! One more thing I noticed (sorry!) is that the window's 'X' doesn't work. Again, not really necessary, but something. |
