Do you hear about PlayN from Google? https://developers.google.com/playn/ http://code.google.com/p/playn/ PlayN is a cross-platform game library that allows you to create a single Java codebase that runs in HTML5, Java, Android and Flash I found also some ios-code... so i think is is available for most platforms...

This is exactly the problem with Monkey; It needs more publicity as it clearly offers a far better overall solution than these other "wannabes" :)
