Because it's more readable on mobile device? Because Win8/9/10 has this style (look at the menu)? To be honest I like ICONS than 'text description'....

To be more specific, capitalised forum topic names SUCK, - monkey is case sensitive - adopting a Microsoft style is usually wrong - I LOVE MONKEY
